Dear Friend,

It is an honor to serve as your Delegate to the Virginia General Assembly. As your Delegate, I have focused on:

  • Making our schools even better by requiring schools to spend more money in the classrooms, where children learn and teachers teach.
  • Fighting to control excessive governmental spending and to eliminate wasteful spending.
  • Supporting measures to help small businesses, which aids in job creation.
  • Fighting to keep our community safe, by supporting the criminalization of synthetic drugs. Substances which particularly threaten the minds and lives of our young adults.

I will vote for a constitutional amendment that prohibits political gerrymandering in Virginia.

I always appreciate hearing from those I represent, and I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or would like to help our efforts. I hope you will take time to look over my website and join the “Friends of Manoli” team today.

Manoli Loupassi

Manoli Loupassi is a bipartisan leader, solving the challenges that Virginians face. Putting students first, controlling wasteful government spending, creating jobs and ensuring public safety have been his priorities and will continue to be in the future.

Manoli Loupassi understands that we need to have a pro-business environment that will lead to a thriving private sector in order to create jobs. He is working with Democrats and Republicans to keep taxes low, to keep regulations fair and to aggressively recruit new companies to expand or relocate in the Commonwealth.

Government must be fiscally responsible with the taxpayers’ money and not spend more than it takes in. Manoli supported a balanced budget, passed on time with no tax increase.

Manoli cares deeply about our public schools. He believes that education resources are best spent in the classroom, including increases to teacher’s pay, not on bureaucratic overhead. He also believes our children should be provided the best opportunities for academic, artistic, and physical achievements.

“My Dad came to America from Greece with $20 to his name and started The Robin Inn. The Italian eatery is a popular family restaurant in the Fan. At the age of ten, I worked at the restaurant washing dishes and mopping floors.

Now, The Robin Inn is managed by my sister, Niki Loupassi. My dad taught me the importance of hard work and giving back to the community.

I graduated from St. Christopher’s School in 1985, Washington and Lee in 1989 and University of Richmond Law School in 1992. I clerked for The Honorable James B. Wilkinson in the Circuit Court.

After Law School, I passed on joining a big law firm. My conscience led me in a different direction. I decided to give back to the community that had so blessed our family. With crime destroying our communities, I decided to go to work as a prosecutor– locking up child abusers, drug dealers, drunk drivers and murderers.

I grew up in Richmond where I learned the value of a dollar from working in my dad’s restaurant. Hyde and I have been married almost ten years and we are raising three wonderful children, Doxey, Stewart, and Manoli.

Over a span of six years, I worked as a Prosecutor for Hanover County, the City of Richmond and Multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury for Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover and the City of Richmond.

During my time as prosecutor, I locked up some of our area’s most violent criminals – including sexual predators, murderers, rapists, burglars and drunk drivers.”

I was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2007. As a Delegate, I have focused on finding solutions to the issues that you care about- supporting our schools to ensure our children receive a top-quality education, helping businesses create new jobs and opportunities, and keeping our families safe.”
